What is Find a Rate?
Find a Rate helps you calculate how much it will cost to send your item to a destination within Canada, to the United States, or to another country.
Find a Rate for a Parcel
- In the From Postal Code box, enter the originating Postal Code.
- Choose your destination by selecting the appropriate Canada, USA, or International option.
- If you are sending a parcel within Canada enter the destination Postal Code in the To Postal Code box.
- For a parcel being sent to the USA enter either a US zip code or select the appropriate state from the dropdown menu.
- For a parcel being sent internationally, select the international destination from the dropdown menu.
- In the Length box, enter the length (longest side) of your item.
- In the Width box, enter the width (depth) of your item.
- In the Height box, enter the height (thickness) of your item.
- Choose your desired unit of measurement (cm or in.)
- In the Weight box, enter the weight of your item.
- Choose your desired unit of measurement (kg or lb.)
- Select Find to view your results.
Find a Rate for a Letter or Document
- In the From Postal Code box, enter the originating Postal Code.
- Choose your destination by selecting the appropriate Canada, USA, or International option.
- If you are sending a parcel within Canada enter the destination Postal Code in the To Postal Code box.
- For a parcel being sent to the USA enter either a US zip code or select the appropriate state from the dropdown menu.
- For a parcel being sent internationally, select the international destination from the dropdown menu.
- Select either Regular or Large envelope depending on the size of your letter or document.
- Select a weight from the dropdown menu.
- Enter exact weight. If your item weighs more than 500 g (1.1 lb.) select the “My document weighs more than 500 g” link. You will be asked to enter the exact weight of your letter or document.
- Select Find to view your results.
Tips
- If you're not sure about your originating or destination Postal Codes, you can select the Find a Postal Code link.
- Because the weight of your item determines the cost and services available to you, please make sure the weight you enter is as accurate as possible.
- Maximum weight for a parcel is 30 kg (66 lb.)
- Some common examples of parcels include:
- Books
- Clothing
- Care packages
- The largest measurement is always entered as Length.
- For irregular, non-rectangular items please measure from the widest points.
