The CRRF vision is the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination and the promotion of Canadian identity, belonging and the mutuality of citizenship rights and responsibilities, leading to a more harmonious Canada. We believe you will find these Interfaith and Belonging resources to be a positive step along the way.
From 2011 to 2014, the Canadian Race Relations Foundation's Interfaith and Belonging project team travelled across Canada to generate dialogue and civic engagement among and between faith-based communities. Our goals were to enhance civic participation and engagement, and explore the themes of identity, human rights, belonging and Canadian values. The Our Canada Handbook is an important outcome of that work. Download the PDF >
The Handbook is key resource intended to provide a common framework to support the work of faith-based and ethnocultural groups as they connect with their constituencies on topics of interfaith, identity and civic participation. It is a key resource to the Cross-Canada Workshops for Diversity Champions, which are being delivered regionally from 2014 to 2016.
This Handbook also serves as a useful resource for anyone with an interest in Canada's growing diversity, and serves as a foundation for building a deeper understanding of Canadian multiculturalism, inclusion, belonging and integration.

The Our Canada Handbook represents a practical guide to bridging faith with Canadian identity, human rights, belonging and values. Each chapter provides a perspective on these topics, written to provoke discussion and reflection, with Questions to Consider and Additional Issues at the end of each chapter. The Handbook provides a framework for conversations across Canada about Canada and what it means to be Canadian.
By organizing a discussion group, you are making a vital contribution by devoting time and energy to stimulating these important conversations within your community.
