Christopher Nolan is known for his meticulous attention to detail. Even going as far as using real naval destroyers instead of CGI in his upcoming film, Dunkirk. However it looks like there was one small thing he overlooked in the beautiful first teaser for the World War II epic. Did you spot it? It happens during the final shot of the teaser. There's one extra that is behaving a little too happy go lucky for a soldier in the midst of one of the most famous battles in World War II. He's smiling! He's actually smiling. Maybe we're just being too pedantic but it would have been a damn near perfect teaser if it wasn't for that extra's distracting gaffe. Via Independent UK

The state of Louisiana is receiving a crash course in “elections have consequences.” Last January, Louisiana voters elected John Bel Edwards governor (the only Democrat governor in the Deep South). On just his second day in office he signed an executive order that made Louisiana the 31st state to expand Medicaid, which is a crucial part of Obamacare. Edwards’s predecessor, Bobby Jindal, rejected the measure on the grounds - and I’m not making this up - that expanding access would “jeopardize the care of the most vulnerable in our society.” At the time, Edwards noted that Louisiana “consistently ranked one of the poorest and unhealthiest states” and that improving Medicaid access would break the
BostonGlobe.comDale Geddes was killed in World War II during the Battle of Tarawa. It was November 1943. He was 21 years old. For more than 70 years, Geddes’s remains were buried on the island of Betio, where he was killed. As time passed, it looked as though they might never be found and returned to his family, according to a local newspaper report. But in 2015, a group told authorities that it had discovered a burial site on that island in the Pacific, according to a news release from the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency. The remains of several U.S. Marines were recovered at that site. And DNA testing has determined that Geddes was one of them. “Dale is finally coming home,” Linda Elliott, a grandniece of

UPROXXAn international team of archaeologists working in Belize has uncovered one of the biggest royal Maya tombs ever, containing a male corpse, animal bones, obsidian blades, and hieroglyphic panels that offer new insights into the legendary 'snake dynasty'. The team uncovered the tomb in Xunantunich, an ancient city in Western Belize that once served as a ceremonial centre for the Maya, under the stairway of a temple. "In other words, it appears that the temple was purposely erected for the primary purpose of enclosing the tomb," team leader Jaime Awe from Northern Arizona University told Alan Yuhas from The Guardian. "Except for a very few rare cases, this is not very typical in ancient Maya architecture."
