Climate Change

Climate change will affect all jurisdictions in Canada. Federal, provincial and territorial ministers recognise that addressing climate change is a shared responsibility and have agreed to strengthen collaboration and continue to take action in their jurisdictions.

In December 2016 First Ministers released the Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change.

CCME's Climate Change Committee works on priorities identified by ministers in order to effectively address climate change. Current work includes improving greenhouse gas emissions projections and facility-level emissions inventories, and examining options for emissions offsets systems and verified carbon credits.
