I'm donating to Library and Archives Canada

As the custodian of both our distant past and our recent history, Library and Archives Canada (LAC) is an essential resource for all Canadians who wish to discover more about themselves as individuals and collectively.

LAC is responsible for acquiring, processing, preserving and providing access to Canada's documentary heritage.

LAC has a collection of books, documents, parchments, photographs, portraits, stamps, medals, newspapers, journals and audio and video recordings that is absolutely unique in the world.

Your donation will help enhance Library and Archives Canada’s collection so that, through the acquisition of rare books, digitization of texts of genealogical interest, restoration of valuable records, and the promotion of reading, history and literacy, it is an even greater reflection of Canadian reality.

Conditions:

  • No administrative fees will be deducted from your contribution.
  • If you wish to remain anonymous, please check the appropriate box on the donation form.
  • Donations are non-refundable.
  • Income tax receipts will be issued via email for all donations of $25 or more.

By proceeding with this donation, you are agreeing to the conditions outlined above.
