Environmental Health is a community-based program that is responsible for assessing physical, biological and chemical hazards in our environments. It is targeted towards preventing disease and creating healthy environments.

Public Health Inspectors work within Environmental Health to provide some of the following services: restaurant inspections; food permits; safe food handling courses; safe water; safe housing: animal bite prevention and follow up; and Tobacco control.
