The Regina area of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (formerly Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region) helps seniors and their caregivers navigate the health care system and educate clients about long term care, home care, falls prevention, health promotion programs and seniors’ healthy living programs.

Seniors are an integral part of our society. In 2011, there were over 153,000 seniors (65 years age and over) living in Saskatchewan. It’s important for seniors and/or their caregivers to manage quality of life, maximize their health, and know their health care options.

Systems Wide Admissions Discharge Department (SWADD) in Regina works collaboratively with many stakeholders to provide programs in response to a senior’s changing needs. SWADD performs assessments of age-related issues and offer solutions to help seniors maximize their health, independence and quality of life.
