My brother was in the service , he made it through his career and I'm grateful everyday that he was ...able to come home pretty much in one peace, mind, body and soul, one of the lucky ones .
I unfortunately lost a friend in Afghanistan to an IED and a day doesn't go by without thinking about him, how things would be different if he had come home to his family and friends , it leaves a hole you can never fill in that being said I am grateful to all our servicemen and women who have answered the call for their country and those that paid the ultimate sacrifice, it saddens me to see the treatment of our vets and the disrespect, in closing, from the bottom of my heart, thank you all. It’s because of the brave men and women who serve in our Canadian Armed Forces that I have the freed...oms and liberty to live my life without fear. So many people are living in parts of the world where they are surrounded by violence right at their doorsteps. In some counties children are forced to be child soldiers. In Canada � we don’t have to live with that reality. We have the freedoms and flexibility to explore any avenues we want because of the men and women who serve and protect us. Because of their continued sacrifices and humility, I solute them and will continue to stand for them and stand by them. We here at home need to give them our love and support always, not matter what. I pray God continues to bless every man and woman and their families. They give us a lot and we have to show them each and everyday how much we love, respect and honour every single brother and sister in arms. See More
