The Whitehorse airport was evacuated Friday afternoon, with officials later assuring the incident was a false alarm.

Passengers and staff were asked to exit Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport at around 3 p.m., but were welcome back into the building shortly afterward.

A Department of Highways and Public Works spokesperson confirmed Friday afternoon that had happened within 20 minutes or so.

Emergency crews responded within minutes and determined it was a false alarm.

Oshea Jephson, with the department, explained this morning that it had resulted in a about a 40-minute delay of flight operations, and some in the waiting area were asked to leave the building as well.

While the department was unable to provide an exact breakdown of how many staff and passengers were asked to leave the 32-year-old building in time for today’s publication, that number totalled about 270 people. The cause of the alarm is still being determined.

Hmmm, again eh? Was it a false alarm, or false flag...conditioning maybe?
Given the volumes of sirens I hear all the time now?
Guess this is our new normal, wonder how long till we get our very own truck of peace mowing down infidels?
Bigger trend it seems globally than yoga pants, and everyone else has one...after all it is the current year.

Ahhhh....now chant along.... “diversity is our strength”
Over and over until you actually believe it.
