Minister Elaine Taylor, the minister responsible for the Women's Directorate, announced a new housing initiative today that will help women and children.

The government plans to build 30 new units.
The new homes will address the largest housing gap in Yukon: secure and affordable housing for single mothers and children, and victims of violence.
