The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation’s Future Forums wrapped up in Victoria, BC on March 21 at Government House with discussions around leadership qualities and responsibilities. The Future Forums workshop on Inclusive Excellence and Engaged Leadership in Vancouver brought forth valuable observations about what constitutes excellence, knowledge, and effective leadership. “The most important thing we learn is humility in leadership. You can’t have engagement without humility.” “Be like bamboo to be an inclusive leader: Bamboo is resilient because it is flexible. It can bend without breaking.” -

“What helps you get to the door and who decides who’s opening it?” The Social Enterprise Centre, an innovative space devoted to social justice and collective mobilization, hosted the Foundation’s Future Forums in Winnipeg. Inclusive Excellence and Engaged Leadership – the two central themes of the Future Forums – were discussed as participants also reflected on the issues of access and opportunity. -

From February 28th to March 9th, 2018 Scholar Nathaniel Brunt is showing work at the Chobi Mela International Festival of Photography in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Nathaniel’s work is part of the exhibition "Archives of Persistence". Chobi Mela is considered the most significant photographic event in Asia since its inception in 2000.
