Honourable Mark Furey
The Honourable Mark Furey was first elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly as MLA for Lunenburg West in 2013 and was re-elected in 2017.
He has served as Minister of Municipal Affairs, Minister of Business, Minster of Service Nova Scotia, and Minister responsible for Tourism Nova Scotia.
Prior to becoming an MLA, he was a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for 32 years. During his career in law enforcement, he served in detachments around Nova Scotia, including Halifax, Cape Breton, and the South Shore, where he retired as District Commander for Lunenburg County. He also fulfilled policing roles in Haiti and Kosovo.
