    David Henderson, MD

    David Henderson, MD, FSHEA, FIDSA, FACP is the incoming President of SHEA.  He worked as Deputy Director for Clinical Care at the NIH Clinical Center for the past 25 years until he retired January 3, 2020. He came to NIH in 1979 as the Clinical Center’s first hospital epidemiologist, a role he held for 35 years.
