The first iteration of the Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan called for a total resource requirement of US$675 million, of which US$61.5 million were for WHO’s urgent preparedness and response activities for the period of February to April 2020. An updated plan will be launched in April and will identify significantly larger resource needs for country response, research and development and WHO itself.

WHO is leading and coordinating the global effort to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting countries to prevent, detect, and respond to the pandemic.
