Criminal and Penal Division

The Criminal and Penal Division is one of the divisions of the Court of Québec. It hears:

• all criminal proceedings, except
  • cases tried before judge and jury, and
  • cases under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Superior Court;

• all penal proceedings for offences under provincial and federal statutes.
