The Operations division of Elections Ontario is seeking a dynamic individual with strong planning, program & project management skills, relationship management skills & experience to manage the overall operation of the RLO Support Program. RLOs are business process specialists who coach and mentor Returning Officers (ROs) in their region on business processes and monitor their delivery of the General Election.
The Supervisor, RLO Support Program, must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, be analytical, supportive, communicative and be prepared to act as a resource to the RLOs in the field.

What can I expect to do in this role?

Reporting to the Manager, Election Resources, you will:
  • Manage the overall operation of the Regional Liaison Officer (RLO) Support Program and provide support to 3 RLO Coordinators & 17 RLOs across the province.
  • Manage projects, operational planning & alignment between the RLO Support program and the election calendar to support the RLO Program delivery.
  • Coordinate the creation and review of key project materials (e.g., RLO report templates, training materials, handbook, etc.) and ensure they are prepared in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of training to 17 RLOs in the field, prior to the 2022 General Election.
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Election Resources to establish operational strategies, ensure RLO goals, expectations and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Provide superior customer service and resolve escalations in a timely manner.
  • Ensure RLO Support Coordinators comply with program objectives, performance standards, and policies.
  • Identify, track and record performance metric success factors for all aspects of RLO projects.
  • Prepare summary reports based on information/data submitted by the RLOs, liaise with EO business lines, and brief the senior management team.


How do I qualify?

Mandatory

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated supervisory and program/project management experience, in reporting, operational planning, strategies, training and supporting staff, scheduling, data analysis and metrics (benchmark tracking, trends, patterns).
  • Well-developed leadership and communication skills to effectively lead, consult and advise stakeholders, conduct meetings, and prepare reports.
  • Excellent analytical, issues management, problem solving, and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated experience using computer technology systems and various software applications (examples include telephony software and scheduling tools).
  • Knowledge of privacy legislation related to the protection of personal information. Adheres to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
  • Knowledge of the Elections Act.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

The successful candidate will be required to work in-office.
