Hospital Supply Chain Metrics (HSCM) Working Group – Documents
In November 2005, OntarioBuys invited 12 healthcare supply chain specialists to assess the current state of supply chain performance measurement at Ontario hospitals. "Performance Measurement - A Report by the Hospital Supply Chain Metrics Working Group" is the result of this evaluation.
“Performance Measurement – A Report by the Hospital Supply Chain Metrics Working Group” recommends a set of 48 metrics and 21 supporting standards. The metrics have been divided into 3 stages – Basic Supply Chain Operations, Emerging Supply Chain Practices and Supply Chain Excellence.
The Working Group suggests institutions adopt the stage 1 metrics and the supporting standards in the short term and work towards adopting the more sophisticated metrics as their supply chains evolve.
