We work cooperatively to ensure compliance with Ontario's agriculture and food legislation by:
- conducting effective province-wide services ranging from advisory services to education and outreach, from administrative hearings to ticketing to investigation and enforcement services.
- liaising with other organizations to ensure effective regulatory compliance. We work with other ministries (e.g. Ministries of Natural Resources, Environment, Health and Long Term Care), governments (e.g. the Canadian Food Inspection Agency), public health units and industry organizations (e.g Egg Farmers of Ontario, Dairy Farmers of Ontario) to ensure effective regulatory compliance.
