The James Bay Treaty (Treaty N^o. 9)

This exhibit, created in collaboration with Mushkegowuk Council and Queen’s University Archives, looks at the context and different interpretations of the James Bay Treaty (Treaty N^o. 9), its impact on Indigenous communities in an area covering roughly two-thirds of Ontario’s total landmass, and the role that archival records and other forms of memory have come to play in its story.
