This level of activation supports mechanisms to monitor, share information and support the health system.
Ministry Status Indicators
Ministry Status: Routine Monitoring & Engagement
During Routine Monitoring & Engagement Status, the ministry develops and implements mitigation and preparedness initiatives in consultation and coordination with stakeholders, including developing plans and implementing exercises and training/ awareness programs. The ministry monitors the development of situations that may threaten the health system or the health of Ontarians.
Ministry Status: Activation Status
During Activation Status, the ministry responds to threats and hazards to the health of Ontarians and the healthcare system in a coordinated approach through the Ministry Emergency Operations Centre.
Ministry Status: Recovery
Following a ministry Activation, the ministry may require a designated period for Recovery to resume regular operations.
