Through Finding Hope: Kids Help Phone’s Action Plan for Supporting First Nations, Inuit and Métis Young People, we’re affirming our commitment to Indigenous youth in Newfoundland and Labrador, Nunatsiavut and across the country.

The Connie Carver Award was established by the Carver family in memory of their beloved daughter and sister, Connie. The award has been presented every year since 1975 to two students in Grade 7 who best exemplify the qualities Connie had while attending Macdonald Drive Junior High School (cooperation, school spirit and kindness). Each student receiving an award is given $1,500, with $750 to be retained and the other $750 going to Kids Help Phone.
