Youth fundraising for youth

 

Declan Kinch

When his friend needed help one night, Declan shared Kids Help Phone’s number in a group chat. Thanks to his quick thinking, his friend had a place to turn when they needed it. What’s even more extraordinary is that, living in a small town in P.E.I., Kids Help Phone was the only option Declan and his friends had.

Seeing the difference we made for his friend inspired Declan to join the Walk so Kids Can Talk presented by BMO in 2018, where he exceeded his fundraising goal. In 2019, he was the first person in his town to register for the Walk, and he’s striving to raise even more funds by bagging groceries and raffling off cheesecakes he bakes himself!

In his Walk emails to friends and family, Declan heartwarmingly asks, “Please help me to help other kids my age make their way through a tough time.”

Homes for the Holidays

Each year since 2004, compassionate members of Kids Help Phone’s community in Vancouver go above and beyond to support young people by hosting the annual Homes for the Holidays event. Driven by a dedicated volunteer committee, this special event has raised incredible funds for Kids Help Phone, ensuring we’re always open for youth.

A dynamic and committed group of corporate, community and service leaders who share our vision and dedication to youth mental health and well-being volunteer year-round to plan this impressive event. Thanks to them, each year, hundreds of Kids Help Phone supporters get to discover luxury homes and expert interior design ideas while raising funds that help enable us to meet young people where they are today — and tomorrow.
