Over 132 KM of trail to experience
G2G Rail Trail Experience is all about connection. Connection between yourself and others, people and nature, cyclists and hikers, rural and urban settings, beach and buildings. G2G Rail Trail Inc is sustained by an enthusiastic volunteer base that is motivated to provide a sustainable inclusive multi-use trail. All efforts on the trail are funded by private donations and by government grants. With that in mind, the trail is free for everyone to use but can only continue to be maintained by donations. As little of a donation as $5 will add you to our e-mail communications and keep you in touch with all things G2G Rail Trail!

Trail Advisory
Committees
The Goderich to Guelph Rail Trail, which has become known as G2G, runs 127 km along the former CPR railway line, which stretches from downtown Guelph to the waters of Lake Huron. It is overseen and maintained by volunteers and steward groups who are passionate trail enthusiasts. The G2G Rail Trail volunteer based advisory committee adopted the responsibility of coordinating the completion of the proposed rail trail. The central purpose and goal of this committee is to foster a final operational plan for future maintenance and trail development, using all best practices and resources available.

Project RED #Savemysummerjob
G2G Rail Trail Inc. has been approved for a $250,000 project co-funded by a partial grant from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). Throughout the summer, Project "RED" will work from end to end, covering the entire 132 km corridor, to resurface and conduct waypoint finding to improve the entirety of your experience! Come September, you can expect there to be a well-groomed, easily navigable, well recognized trail that connects your community for you to enjoy!
Andy Heal, an avid cyclist and dedicated community member, has been selected to head the Project RED crew which consists of four Wilfrid Laurier University students from the Geography and Environmental Studies program. Collectively the team is made up of hard working, environmentally educated nature enthusiasts who are dedicated to improving the G2G Rail Trail Experience for generations to come!
These students are grateful to be provided this position, giving them the chance to apply their skills and continue to accumulate new knowledge both in the field and in the classroom. Today, your contributions will go towards the longevity of the trail and the betterment of future generations! Support our next generation of environmental stewards by donating today.
