My Service Canada Account
My Service Canada Account (MSCA) is a secure online portal. It allows you to apply, view and update your information for Employment Insurance (EI), Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Canada Pension Plan disability and Old Age Security (OAS).
Systems maintenance
- Internet Explorer (IE) is no longer supported. To avoid access issues, please use a recommended Web browser
- The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) My Account link from MSCA is currently unavailable. You can still access your EI/CPP/OAS tax slips on MSCA. To view your personal income tax information, visit the CRA web page.
- Making changes to your EI & CPP/OAS direct deposit information and mailing address is currently unavailable. Telephone number update is still unavailable (EI users only). To make a change:
- complete the eServiceCanada form; or
- contact the call centre responsible for the benefits you have received

- July 2021 - CPP/OAS users can now update their telephone number
- June 2021 – Registration to multi-factor authentication is now mandatory when you sign in to MSCA with a GCKey or your bank (Sign-in Partner). This new step will help protect your identity and personal information
- April 2021 – New GCKey and Sign-in Partner users can help verify their identity in real time using Verified.Me

- Don't give out or share passwords or security codes online or over the phone, even with family
- Log off or sign out of accounts and websites when you are finished; don't just close your browser

The GCkey sign in process has changed. For more information, read the following questions and answers:
Why have you added security questions to the sign-in process? The Government of Canada (GC) takes privacy and security very seriously. This additional step helps validate your identity when you login to GC systems.
Where are these questions taken from? The questions are randomly selected from the five questions you entered when you first registered to our systems.
What happens if I get the answers wrong? You get three attempts at answering the questions. If you are unsuccessful, your account will be locked.
Help! My account is locked. You can reach our Registration and Authentication call centre at 1-866-279-5238 to obtain assistance and unlock your account. Our contact centre is experiencing a high level of calls, which may lead to longer than usual wait times.
Help! My GCKey has been revoked You must re-register online.
As described in the link, a new GCKey and a new Personal Access Code (PAC) will be required.

- Don't bookmark secure MSCA pages (which means the pages you see after you sign in)
