The FAMG provides specialized forensic accounting services to municipal, provincial, national and international governments, law enforcement agencies and prosecution services. We offer services on criminal investigations with financial elements, such as proceeds of crime, commercial crime, money laundering, securities market fraud, organized crime, and terrorist financing activities. Forensic accounting assistant (AU-01)
Job description
The forensic accounting assistant takes part in the compilation, analysis and preparation of reports and processes to facilitate the delivery of forensic accounting services to clients.
Qualifications
A forensic accounting assistant must have the ability to:
- create pivot tables and formulas in Excel
- compile data from various accounting, banking or financial documents
Degree required
A degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in accounting, business administration, commerce, finance or some other field relevant to the position.

Junior forensic accountant (AU-02)
Job description
The junior forensic accountant prepares preliminary analyses and assists more experienced forensic accountants in the delivery of accounting services to clients.
Qualifications
A junior forensic accountant must:
- meet all requirements for the AU-01 position
- have experience in using electronic spreadsheets (Excel)
- possess a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA or CGA)
- have experience in the compilation and analysis of various accounting, banking and financial information
- have experience in conducting financial analysis involving computations
Degree required
A degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in accounting, business administration, commerce, finance or some other field relevant to the position.

Job description
The forensic accountant provides analyses and advice to multi-disciplinary teams, and prepares factual forensic accounting reports, studies and presentations. This position involves the leadership and coordination of ad hoc project teams and working groups.

Senior forensic accountant (AU-04)
Job description
The senior forensic accountant prepares expert reports on complex cases related to the full array of client investigations. Within the operations of the FAMG, it is at this level that the bulk of the workload is discharged and executed. The senior forensic accountant also offers guidance to forensic accountants.

A senior forensic accountant must:
- meet all requirements for the AU-03 position
- have experience in reviewing subordinates’ accounting or audit work
- have experience in planning and conducting professional accounting or audit engagements
