How to comment

Federal departments and agencies allow interested groups, individuals, and Canadians to review and comment on proposed regulations before they become official.

The commenting feature on our website allows you to comment on proposed regulations published in Part I of the Canada Gazette. Once the consultation period is over, you will be able to view all submitted comments on our website.

Since April 2021, the online commenting feature is available for a sampling of proposed regulations as we improve the feature over time. We are taking this step to measure how the changes will impact regulators and commenters.

Information

Comments posted on our website are made by external sources. The Canada Gazette is not responsible for the accuracy, reliability or relevancy of the comments made by external sources. Comments may only be available in the language they were submitted.

Steps to submit your comments

Step 1

Comment on one or more sections or in the general comment box.

Step 2

Identify yourself as an individual, an organization or choose the anonymous option.

Step 3

Submit your comment.

All comments conforming to government guidelines will be posted online at the conclusion of the consultation period.

How to submit comments by email

Review the regulatory impact analysis statement and proposed regulation text. Submit your comments to the individual identified in the consultation by the due date.
