The Public Legal Education Association of Canada 2017 Conference will be held in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on September 20th & 21st. The conference is open to anyone who has an interest in public legal education on PEI and across Canada. Things to know as you plan your wedding

On PEI, you must be 18 years old to get married unless you have permission from your parents or from a court. No one under the age of 16 can get married.

CYJC 2017 was a success!

Community Youth Justice Camp: CLIA hosted a 3-day youth camp in the summer of 2017. The camp allowed youth (aged 12 - 15) to learn how the justice system works in Prince Edward Island and to become familiar with their legal rights and responsibilities. The participants got to enjoy guest speakers, such as lawyers and human rights officers, to tour the police station, and to have the opportunity to participate in a mock trial and sentencing circle.
