  • Important Changes to Family Law!

On July 1, 2023 The Family Maintenance Act was repealed and replaced by The Family Law Act and The Family Support Enforcement Act. Amendments to The Child Support Service Act and The Inter-jurisdictional Support Orders Act also came into effect July 1. The new and amended laws are available on the Manitoba Laws website - Le site Web de la législation manitobaine

The Family Law in Manitoba website has not yet been updated to reflect all of the changes that came into effect on July 1, 2023 but the updates are coming soon.

Changes relating to the new laws have also been made to the Court of Kings’ Bench Rules and Forms.
