November 28, 2023 - Highway 1 expansion advances for Fraser Valley residents and travellers
Through the Fraser Valley Highway 1 Corridor Improvement Program, the Province of B.C. is improving Highway 1 in the Fraser Valley to better serve the growing region and the more than 80,000 motorists who use the highway between Langley and Abbotsford, and through the Sumas Prairie into Chilliwack every day.
We are taking a phased approach to effectively develop and implement improvements.

Highway 1 - Highway 11 through Sumas
Phase 4 - extends from Highway 11 through Sumas Prairie into Chilliwack (approximately 17 km) new phase in development.

Highway 1 - 264th to Highway 11
Improvements to Highway 1 between 264th Street and Highway 11 (a total of 21 km) are being developed in two parts: Phase 3A and Phase 3B.
