2008 Fees

Here are the 2008 fees

Ontario Parks is committed to providing world-class recreational opportunities to our visitors at reasonable and competitive prices.

To meet increasing operating costs of Ontario Parks, the Ontario government is introducing an increase in fees for day use, car camping and roofed accommodations. We will begin collecting the new fees on January 1, 2008 for all reservations that are made on or after an arrival date of April 1st, 2008. Those who visit provincial parks between now and March 31, 2008 will be charged the 2007 fees.

All Ontario Parks fees (which include the GST) will reflect the 1% reduction in the GST rate, as set out by the Federal Government. The new rate of 5% GST is effective on January 1, 2008.

Ontario Parks fees for car camping, day use and roofed accommodations will increase in 2008. Day use and camping fee increases will range from $0.80 to $2.20. Roofed accommodation fee increases will range from $4.25 nightly to a maximum of $72.15 weekly.

The provincial parks system is largely funded through user fees, which – along with other park revenues – are deposited in an account dedicated solely for the use of Ontario Parks. The money that you pay for services and merchandise in provincial parks, stays in parks.
