Both the Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy Act and the Personal Information Protection Act provide that, when we cannot mediate a settlement of a request for review or complaint, the Commissioner or an adjudicator may conduct an inquiry. Following an inquiry, the Commissioner or an adjudicator issues an order determining the outcome of the dispute.
