Gender Unit
gsdlogo.gif

The Gender Unit uses a two-pronged approach to strengthen and bring coherence to mainstreaming gender in IDRC and in the work of our partners.

This approach consists of:

  • Building a research portfolio on pressing and specific gender and development issues and
  • Organizing internal mainstreaming initiatives to build upon the ongoing work of our partners and staff. Our objective is to increase the capacity for critical and meaningful engagement in gender and development problems, issues and debates.
