Administration of Projects, Consultancies, and Travel

IDRC has established internal systems and procedures to ensure that all project recipients are dealt with in a consistent manner and that all its funds are administered in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). IDRC encourages all of its recipients to follow these same standards of preformance in the projects and activities they undertake with IDRC support.

This website was created to provide recipients of IDRC funds with assistance and advice about project management. It includes information about the administrative and financial procedures that should be followed by both institutions and individuals to manage the funds they have received from IDRC. It is designed to help those who have:

  • had their application for project funding approved by IDRC;
  • had their travel to a workshop or conference funded by IDRC;
  • been hired as a consultant by IDRC; or
  • responsibility for managing IDRC-funded grant projects.

In addition, this website provides information for research institutions that have received IDRC funding and may be looking for assistance to enhance their capacity in project finance and administration.

If you have not applied for IDRC support and would like to do so, please see How to Apply to IDRC for Funding for instructions on how to obtain an IDRC grant.
