HomeThe Canadiana Fund invites you to become involved in enhancing the state areas of Canada’s official residences through donations of fine examples of important Canadian furnishings, paintings and objets d’art. If you have any items you would consider donating, the Canadiana Fund would welcome a description and a photograph of each item.
A gift to the Canadiana Fund is a gift to the Crown, and a tax receipt will be issued by the NCC for all accepted donations for the year in which they are received. Receipts are based on the full fair market value of the gift. When donating an object of outstanding significance or national importance, as certified by the Canadian Cultural Property Export Review Board, a donor may also benefit from a capital gains tax exemption. Financial contributions toward the enhancement and refurbishment of the official residences are also welcome, and tax receipts will be issued.
Donors are advised to consult with their own tax advisors as to the implications of any donation.
