How to be an Action Hero

You can always tell who the Action Heroes are. You can spot them even when they are in a crowded room, in a busy playground, or just walking on the sidewalk with a bunch of other people. How? From the things they do and the way they act.

Maybe you're an action Hero and don't even know it.
To find out, read the Action List below. If you're already doing these things, then you're definitely Action Hero material. If not, it's never too late to get started.

Be a Leader.
Dare to be safe. Don't do things because everyone else does - especially when you know they're wrong. Speak up for yourself, and don't be afraid to tell your friends if they're doing something that could hurt them. And remember that younger kids look up to you, so it's important to set a good example.

Plan it first.
Think before you act - you can stop a lot of injuries from happening. Think about what you want to do, decide on the best way to do it, and then follow through.

Check it out and be alert.
Pay attention to what's happening around you and use your common sense when making decisions.

Wear the gear.
Let's face it. Sometimes, no matter how careful you are, you could still fall or crash. But if you wear the proper gear, you probably won't get hurt as much.
