Welcome to the DND portal to Canada NewsWire!

Canada NewsWire is a news subscription service that uses Portfolio to sort news stories by topic and deliver them to subscribers.

We chose Canada NewsWire for two reasons:

• it works in both English and French and

• it’s free!

To use Canada NewsWire as a source of Defence-related news, follow these instructions:

1. Click on the Portfolio E-Mail button below. It will take you to the Canada NewsWire Login page.

2. Select Click here to Register. Complete the form according to the instructions and click "Signup". You will soon get an e mail from Canada NewsWire asking you to verify the information.

3. Once you receive this e-mail, verify the information. In the Subscriptions section, select Portfolio EMail - Manage. A window will then appear asking you to choose which organization you wish to receive News Releases from. In the "Select a specific Industry" drop down menu, select Aerospace/Defence. Select National Defence in the alphabetical directory as well as each Defence-related organization that interests you. Select Save, then Logout.

4. The next screen has the Organization menu. Following the instructions, select National Defence and each Defence-related company that interests you, and click Submit. It will take you back to the Portfolio E-mail page.

5. News releases issued by companies and organizations you've selected will be now delivered in real-time directly to your e-mail address.
