Next-generation Wide Field Imaging for CFHT

The ATRG-V was involved in the design, manufacture and testing for components for the new wide-field imager now in use on the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope (CFHT). NRC-HIA was contracted to complete the optical design for the Wide Field Corrector, design and fabrication for the Focus Stage Assembly (FSA), design, fabrication and low-level software for the two precision Guide and Focus Sensor Units (GFSU), as well as overall MegaPrime assembly drawings to facilitate the integration of components provided by various partners.

Project Leader: Joeleff Fitzsimmons
