NRC Information Centre Victoria

Onsite Collection

Through CISTI's services, the NRC Information Centre Victoria & Penticton provides access to one of the largest collections of scientific, technical and medical information in North America with more than 50,000 serial titles and 600,000 books, conference proceedings and technical reports. Some 500 new items are received every day.

The focus of our local collection is astronomical & astrophysical literature.

The NIC library consists of books, conference proceedings, technical reports, observatory publications, and current periodicals for immediate user needs.

Access to the collection
You can find out what material is available at the Information Centre by searching the CISTI online catalogue. To differentiate our holdings from those of other libraries, look for the letters DAO or DRAO next to the call number in CISTI's Catalogue.

Journals held in the Information Centre are also listed in our Serials Lists. These lists are also available for consultation at the Circulation Desk. To find out what journals are currently available at CISTI's main library, search the online catalogue.
