3D Technologies3D from Paintings and Old PhotosExamples of converting paintings and photos to 3D - Steenwyck
The illustration on the left side of the screen shows the oil on panel painting “St. Jerome in his study”, painted in 1630 by Hendrik van Steenwyck the Younger. Saint Jerome is writing by candlelight in a gothic chapel, seated behind a large table, which is in front of a carved wooden half wall in the centre left of the painting. The room is illuminated also by a set of three ceiling-to-floor arched windows on the left, and by a distant window seen through a hallway of arches leading into the distance in the right of the painting. In the centre foreground, a dog lies on the checkerboard tile floor.
