More on Pop-up Blockers

To disable the Pop-up Blocker feature in Internet Explorer, follow these steps.

From the browser menu, select:

  • Tools » Pop-up Blocker » Pop-up Blocker Settings
  • In the dialogue box that appears, there is a text entry box entitled Address of the Web site to allow. Enter the www.campusdirect.gc.ca Web site address in that box.
  • Click the "Add" button.
  • Click the "Close" button.

To disable the Pop-up Blocker feature in Netscape, follow these steps.

From the browser menu, select:

  • Edit » Preferences
  • Privacy & Security » Popup Windows
  • Check the Block unrequested popup windows box
  • Some versions of Netscape also have an "Allowed Sites" feature. If your version does, then it is a good idea to go into that setting and add the www.campusdirect.gc.ca Web site to the list. (This simply allows the Campusdirect program to launch the products in a new window, it will not create unwanted popup advertisements.)

*** Please note that other common Pop-up Blockers can be found in the Yahoo and Google Toolbars as well as the Ad-Aware program. If you require assistance to disable these utilities or include Campusdirect.gc.ca as a site where pop-ups are allowed, please Contact Us.
