Canada Business is your gateway to government information for business. Canada Business provides a wide range of information on government services, programs and regulations and are there to answer your questions about starting a new business or improving an existing one.

Our Goal
Canada Business is committed to providing the Canadian business community with a wide range of information on government services, programs and regulations that are relevant, up-to-date and accurate. The ultimate goal is to help Canadian entrepreneurs succeed in establishing, managing, and growing their businesses by providing them with a variety of information in one convenient location. A Network of Cooperation
Canada Business is a collaborative arrangement among 43 Government of Canada departments, provincial, territorial governments and, in some cases, not-for-profit organizations, that helps Canadian entrepreneurs get the correct and region- appropriate information, advice and support they need to build their businesses.

Currently, there are 13 Canada Business service centre locations - one in every province and territory. Canada Business also has a growing network of partners providing access to Canada Business information in communities across Canada.

The participants and federal managing partners who are responsible for the development and management of the Canada Business service centres vary from province to province:

A Canada Business Secretariat is located at Industry Canada in Ottawa. The Secretariat is responsible for supporting Canada Business and maintaining the technical network, information databases and products. It is also responsible for this Web site.

What We Do
Canada Business offer a combination of products, services, publications and expert referrals to help clients get current and comprehensive business information on a wide range of topics such as writing a business plan, starting a business, finding new markets and preparing for exporting. The complexity of dealing with various levels of government is reduced by providing a single point of contact to a wide range of information on government services, programs and regulations pertaining to business. In addition, each centre has an extensive business reference collection of government and non-government information for use by the business client and information officers dedicated to assisting the client.
