18th century.

of history in the understanding of the present, the Visual Museum of New France will
promote exchanges by opening an agora. This forum will circulate the data disseminated
today throughout the world, which, because of the information highway, can finally be
brought together. The convergence of resources available today in this Virtual Museum will
ensure its continued enrichment.
The Virtual Museum of New France wishes to maintain an interactive relationship with
its visitors who will be able to transmit and exchange information, thus contributing to
the expansion and enrichment of the contents. To stimulate public interest in the
knowledge of the history of New France, the Museum will ensure that the notion of
entertainment underlies several of its activities.
For the specialized public, made up of educational institutions, libraries, museums and
others, the Virtual Museum of New France will make available information, documents and
products of a pedagogical, technical or scientific character.
The historical elements accessible on the site of the Virtual Museum of New France will
be introduced progressively on a regular basis. They will be formulated by its partners'
resources: people, institutions and agencies with knowledge of New France at their
disposal. |
