In wartime, the power of words and images can be exploited to manage
information and to propagate fear, anger, pride, or patriotism. Compelling
graphic material from more than 10 countries - including films and posters
from Canada's own campaign - shows how propaganda was used as a weapon
during the First and Second World Wars and the Spanish Civil War. An
exhibition developed by the Wolfsonian-Florida International University,
to which the Canadian War Museum has added a
Canadian Wartime Propaganda component.
Canada's Gunners
May 26, 2005 to 1 November, 2005 (LeBreton Gallery)
Canada's Gunners celebrates the accomplishments and service of the Royal
Canadian Artillery over the past 150 years. Featuring interactive screens,
artifacts and text panels, this exhibition takes place in the LeBreton
Gallery and has been timed to coincide with the issue of a commemorative
envelope featuring one of Canada's most venerable military units.

For the first time ever, Second World War art treasures from three of
the world's largest military history museums - the Australian War Memorial,
the Canadian War Museum and the Imperial War Museum - will be presented
together in an international exhibition marking the 60th anniversary of the
end of the Second World War.
The presentation of this exhibition at the Canadian War Museum was made
possible by a generous donation from the Beaverbrook Canadian

The Story of the Canadian Forces Health Services

The exhibition Critical Care: On the Battlefield and Around the World tells
the story of Canadian military medical personnel, including dentists,
doctors, nurses, and other health services professionals, who operate
behind the scenes but play a vital role in successful military operations.
The exhibition presents a 100-year perspective on the human experience and
accomplishments of these people in peace and war, in Canada, and overseas.

The Untold Story of Canada's Military Engineers and Communicators showcases
a century of innovative contributions and tells the story of how these two
groups have combined to achieve success in both war and peace, while
overcoming a wide range of challenges.
The Canadian History of RADAR

Learn how a handful of young Canadian volunteers helped turn the tide of
the Second World war with a new weapon : radar! RADAR tells the story of
6,000 Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) radar experts who served in Russia,
Turkey, China, New Guinea, Guadalcanal and a dozen other locations during
the Second World War.
Canada and the American Revolution
February 24, 2003 to September 6, 2004
Revolution Rejected: Canada and the American Revolution uses artifacts, a
scale-model diorama, audio-visual material, maps, images and personal
accounts to tell the story of the American invasion of Canada in 1775-1776
and the migration of American Loyalists to Canada after 1783.
