Bernie McNamee

Bernie has been a broadcast journalist for 30 years. Before coming to the CBC, he worked at several private radio and television stations (Wingham, Ont., Ottawa and Toronto) in various capacities including reporter and host.

He's hosted several CBC Radio news programs. He was the first host of "The World This Weekend" on CBC Radio One and Two.

For almost four years, Bernie has hosted "Canada at Five" and for the past three years he's been host of the Radio One Business Network.

When he's not sitting at a microphone, Bernie spends the rest of his time trying to keep up with "Kano", his high maintenance Jack Russell terrier.
