Mandate: To provide quality, value-added labour relations services which continuously improve the effective and efficient management of human resources in Parts I, II and III of the New Brunswick Public Service. This branch promotes the development of employee relations that are responsive to the needs of departments, schools, hospitals and their employees while meeting overall government objectives. Responsibility areas of the branch include: · negotiation, interpretation and administration of collective agreements covering all unionized employees in Parts I, II and III of the public service; · development and delivery of labour relations workshops to line managers and human resource specialists; and · provision of a compensation information and costing service to support the collective bargaining and management compensation determination processes for Parts I, II and III of the public service. |

These applications support human resource and payroll professionals in Part I of the New Brunswick public service in the performance of their duties, as well as managers at all levels and individual employees. The branch is also responsible for the corporate payroll function in Part I. |
