Canada Air Pilot
  Next (Canada Flight Supplement)

The Canada Air Pilot (CAP) contains aeronautical information that is specifically pertinent to the conduct of the arrival and departure portions of flight instrument approach procedures, standard instrument departure procedures and noise abatement procedures.

The CAP is revised and reissued on a 56-day cycle. Seven volumes provide coverage across Canada, in a convenient spiral Wire-O bound format. They are divided as follows:

CAP 1 – Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut
CAP 2 – British Columbia
CAP 3 – Alberta, Saskatchewan & Manitoba
CAP 4 – Ontario
CAP 5 – Quebec (English)
CAP 6 – Québec (French). Volume contains its own general pages.
CAP 7 – Atlantic Provinces
CAP GEN – Contains general pages for all volumes except CAP 6. CAP GEN is amended and reissued as required.

NOTE:
The information contained in the charts and publications are current only to the date of submission for printing. A NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) may amend or cancel the information on the aeronautical products, therefore the NOTAM must be consulted to ensure that current information is used for flight operations.

New!   Canadian Airport Charts

This product contains all the aerodrome, taxi, low visibility and parking charts published in the Canada Air Pilot (CAP). The aerodrome diagrams are made readily available to the general aviation pilots on the NAV CANADA Web site to assist pilots during aircraft ground movement operations at Canadian airports. This move will contribute to enhance aviation safety and help to mitigate some of the risks associated with runway incursions.

The publication is updated every 56 days and is free to download from NAV CANADA’s Web site.

New!   Restricted Canada Air Pilot (RCAP)

The RCAP is a digital document containing aeronautical information related to the conduct of the arrival or departure portions of « restricted instrument procedures » (RIP) for pilots that are authorized to take advantage of different operational parameters with specific airplanes, at numerous airports and heliports across the country.

These instrument procedures are restricted due to design deviations from the Criteria for the Development of Instrument Procedures (TP 308), or are of a proprietary design nature, and they require prior Transport Canada approval to be flown.

This publication is updated every 56 days. It is available on CD-ROM from NAV CANADA.
