The Yellowknife 3-D Geoscientific Model - A Tool for Exploration

G. D. Kirkham, J. P. Siddorn, and H. Falck

This paper highlights the compilation of information from more than 50,000 drillholes at the Con and Giant mines, as well as integration with data on the mine workings, lithogeochemical samples, and 3D structural interpretations that have refined the understanding of the geology of these mines. The development of a 3-D geoscientifc model has allowed for the selection of a number of promising targets for future drill programs.
