Our advisors offer information and orientation services to set up an enterprise vital to the economy of the region.

Additional financial assistance in the form of repayable contributions to promote the emergence of innovative SMEs.

What CED associates can do for you:


CED ensures that Quebec SMEs have access to other services by the intermediary of a network of collaborators that most of them are financially supported by the Agency. These collaborators are listed in office of principal clients they serve.

Technology or innovative sector entrepreneurs

Canadian Technology Network (CTN)
Owing to a national network of experts comprising in particular the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) and Canada Economic Development advisers, the CTN gives entrepreneurs at the startup stage access to competent resources for answers to their questions of a technological and commercial nature.

 
Manufacturing enterprises

Info-Entreprises
Offers a complete guidance service to government information related in particular to the development of international markets.

Aboriginal enterprises

Aboriginal Business Service Centre (ABSC) - First People’s Business Association
Economic and financial referral services, business development, networking and selected training services and co-ordination of activities (seminars, symposia and conferences).

Aboriginal Business Canada - Industry Canada
Assists in developing a business plan, conducting feasibility studies, setting up new enterprises and marketing activities in domestic and international markets. Provides funding and assistance for enterprises through management and technical training.

Quebec Aboriginal Tourism Corporation
Development support services and promotion of Aboriginal tourism products.

Local small businesses

Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDC)
CFDCs have a mandate to contribute to the economic development of their communities through mobilization, co-operation and the creation of sustainable jobs and enterprises. Their operations are funded by the Gouvernment of Canada. Services offered to the enterprises include:

  • Access to funding
  • Technical assistance
  • Support for local entrepreneurship, including women and young entrepreneurs.

Rural Enterprise
Provides complementary assistance to support projects in such targeted areas of activity as innovation, marketing and the development of products and services emanating from the region. The program is available through the Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs) in the area.

Young entrepreneurs (between 18 and 35 years) in rural areas

Youth Strategy
Additional financial assistance in the form of personal loans to support the startup, expansion and consolidation of enterprises. This program is funded by Canada Economic Development and offered by Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs).
