Competition Tribunal Privacy Statement

The Competition Tribunal is committed to respecting the personal privacy of individuals who visit its Web site. This page summarizes the privacy policy and practices of the Competition Tribunal Web site.

  • The Competition Tribunal does not automatically gather any personal information from you, such as your name, and phone number.

  • All personal information you do provide is protected under the federal Privacy Act. This means that, at the point of collection, you will be informed that your personal information is being collected, the purpose for which it is being collected and that you have a right of access to the information.

  • The Competition Tribunal may use software that receives and records the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of computers that have connected with its Web site. The Tribunal normally makes no attempt to link these addresses with the identity of individuals visiting the site. However, a link could be made should an investigation into a security breach be required.

  • The Competition Tribunal does not regularly use 'cookies' to track how visitors use its Web site. Should we enable 'cookies' to facilitate your transactions, we will first inform you.   • Visitor information is not disclosed to anyone except Competition Tribunal personnel who need the information, e.g., to respond to a request.
