Decision Request Process

An Internet Standards Committee oversees the decision requests submitted for review. The committee is comprised of two Communications Services Manitoba staff and two Manitoba Information and Communications Technologies Staff. The process and request forms are below.

Purpose

The purpose of the Decision Request document is to:

• Provide a central location for website development standard decisions
• Document the rationale and justification of website development standard decisions
• Preserve integrity in the functionality of the government’s Internet site
• Ensure that the website development standards are extensible and can support an evolving internet presence
• Provide reference to documented decisions
• Avoid unnecessary reconsideration of the same issues
• Facilitate the management and maintenance of the Website Development Standard and Guidelines.

Decision Request Template

The following template will be used to request decisions on Internet website development standard and guidelines.

The Decision Request is a vehicle for government staff to request changes or additions to the Internet standards and guidelines.

The Decision Request Log documents the decisions made by the Internet Standards Committee.
